Supervisors Need to Ensure that Work Gets Done

Moving into positions of authority often means taking on new responsibilities, mastering new skills and overcoming unexpected challenges. Some supervisors who are new to the process of overseeing the work of others may be uncomfortable or unsure about how to inspire and motivate others. SCP’s Supervisor Program is designed to guide and support supervisors so they are comfortable taking responsibility for their direct reports, which is essential to ensure the team’s work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Essential Skills and Soft Skills Are Required to Supervise Others

This program is designed to give supervisors the essential skills of problem solving, planning, and delegating work, and the soft skills required to manage performance (setting goals and giving feedback) and facilitate successful meetings. As part of SCP’s Supervisor Program, participants also have the opportunity to complete developmental assessments including CliftonStrengths, MBTI, DiSC, SDI, FiroB, EQi 2.0, and the CPI. This program can also include supervisor or team coaching, and guidance in establishing internal mentorship programs.
