On December 3, 2018, the United States Navy awarded over 1,800 companies multiple-award contracts (MACs) for Navy Seaport Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG). SeaPort-NxG is the next iteration of the services contracting vehicle SeaPort-e®, according to a Defense Department statement. Strategic Consulting Partners (SCP) was awarded the SeaPort-NxG indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering support services and program management support services.

“SCP is looking forward to supporting the Navy in their ongoing need for strategic workforce planning, leadership development, technical and professional development training, and operational effectiveness. As a firm, we have supported eight branches of the Navy in over 10 projects, and we anticipate that we will support more projects and commands in the future.” Jasmine Gould, SCP Chief Development Officer

Under the new contract areas listed in Seaport-NxtGen, SCP will be providing program management services, such as professional development and training support, analytical and organizational assessment support, and logistics support services.

According to Inside Defense, the awarded work spans the Navy’s major commands and agencies, with the exception of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVSEA), which has pursued its own services contracting vehicle. NAVSEA is comprised of command staff, headquarters directorates, affiliated Program Executive Offices, and numerous field activities. Together they engineer, build, buy, and maintain ships, submarines, and combat systems that meet the Fleet’s current and future operational requirements. They also require management consulting firms to help support the ongoing workforce development and business operations. NAVSEA is the largest of the Navy’s five system commands, with a force of 74,000 civilian and military personnel. NAVSEA manages 150 acquisition programs and foreign military sales cases that include billions of dollars in annual military sales to partner nations.

“For the past five years, SCP has successfully provided operations support for NAVSEA under simplified acquisition contracts. The Navy Seaport Next Generation contract award provides us the opportunity to share our expertise and expand our operations and strategic support to the Navy and its various commands.” Monica Gould, SCP President

SCP has a handful of contracting vehicles to aid potential clients in working with them, such as being SBA 8(a) and EDWOSB certified, as well as being a GSA PSS MOBIS Schedule holder. SCP’s past performance for the Department of the Navy includes work for NAVSUP, SSP, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, DASN Safety EI&E, NCIS, and DASN(ELM). Services provided for these agencies include SAS support and training; strategic workforce planning; talent management; leadership development; data analysis; organizational development; logistics policy development; program oversight, and project support services.

SCP is a full-service management consulting firm committed to shaping the future of our world by building organizational and leadership capacity. Specialty services include strategic planning, organizational development, operational effectiveness, leadership development, and training.
