Highlighting Female Founders and Their Economic Impact

Monica Gould, owner and founder of Strategic Consulting Partners, shares five growth insights gleaned for 30 years as a female founder and small business owner in the April issue of PA Business Central/Women in Business.

“Create an organizational culture that you and others want to work in. Our team has grown from a team of one to more than 30 employees, and we are expanding with each new client. But I try to never lose sight of our promise to build a healthy, vibrant organization where people can bring their whole selves to work. One of the reasons I started SCP in 1994 was because there was no option for remote work or jobsharing in the corporate world. Nor was there flexibility to address family and caregiving needs, which thwarted a woman’s ability to advance in her career. Of equal importance to me is understanding what my employees are looking for: to work in an environment where people respect each other; to share a common value system of dignity and equity; and to follow leaders eager to invest in their people.” – Monica Gould
