SCP Helps Protect Fort Indiantown Gap

With close to 2,000 full-time employees, Fort Indiantown Gap is Lebanon County’s largest employer by far. So when the threat of closing this military installation came in 2015, due to a future round of military base cuts, a community group jumped into action.

This group called Local Defense Group included Lebanon County officials and was engaged to defend its interests in keeping Fort Indiantown Gap open amid talk of a fresh round of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) hearings. Aided by a grant from Department of Community and Economic Development in 2015,  Strategic Consulting Partners was hired to assist the Local Defense Groups’ efforts.
