As a former senior executive who rose through the ranks, he can relate to clients’ challenges and the next-step growth opportunities they’re looking to achieve. Pat has completed over 3,200 coaching sessions for over 700 professionals, from individual contributors to C-Suite level executives. Pat has provided coaching services for companies and industries ranging from start-ups to Fortune 5 corporations and for government organizations, including NASA, FAA, HUD, HHS, and military personnel in the US Army and US Air Force. Pat’s coaching style is empathetic, direct, and focused on practical, sustainable outcomes.
Previously, Pat served 34 years with the U.S. Government, a career that spanned entry-level positions to Senior Executive Service roles. As a Senior Executive, Pat worked primarily with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and was responsible for the oversight of nuclear facilities in the Midwest region of the U.S. In addition to the technical aspects of this work, Pat developed internal coaching activities, led several organizational management retreats, performed organizational assessments, and developed leadership model guidelines and strategic workforce planning frameworks. He pioneered internal “coach approach” techniques for first-line supervisors.
Pat holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Indiana State University, is a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation, and holds certifications as a practitioner for the Pearman Personality Integrator, CINERGY conflict management model, ARSENAL stress management model, and the Emotional Intelligence EQi-2.0 assessment model.
Pat is an avid cyclist, enjoys home coffee roasting, and is an accomplished guitarist. He lives most of the year in Palm Springs, California, and spends several weeks visiting family in Chicago.
