John is a Professional Certified Coach and Certified Professional Facilitator with near equal time invested in serving clients in governmental, commercial, and non-profit organizations. During his 20-year military career, he served with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment stationed in Germany as a unit commander, operations officer, and force modernization planner. He also served with the Army Laboratory Command developing leading edge systems and break-through technologies. As a reservist, he continued to serve as a member of the Army’s Acquisition Corps as well as a member of the recruiting field force for West Point admissions.

In his second career as a civilian, he has been a Principal Research Scientist, Project and Program Manager, and Senior Analyst, as well as director of several innovation centers working to envision future capabilities. He also assists engineering teams with solving the challenges encountered during new systems development and deployment. John now serves as President and “Head Coach” of his own small veteran-owned consulting business focusing on executive coaching and enhancing team performance through leadership coaching, strategic envisioning, and outdoor experiential learning.

John has a graduate certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance from George Mason University. He’s also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He has a Master of Science in General Engineering (Technology Strategy and Policy from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science (National Security and Public Affairs) from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. John is the author of Facilitating Genius: Illuminating Brilliance in Your Organization (eBookIt.com) and co-author of Technology Exchange in the Information Age (Battelle Press).
