Janet Ladd is a leadership coach and organizational development consultant who helps individuals, teams, and organizations strengthen performance while supporting well-being and mental health across the workforce. Her work spans leaders, teams, and employees at all levels, with a focus on the intersection of leadership, well-being, and effectiveness. She supports clients in navigating complexity, managing competing demands, and improving performance in ways that support both effectiveness and well-being.
With a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Johns Hopkins University and more than 25 years of experience across higher education, human capital technology, human resources, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness, Janet brings both strategic perspective and practical application to her work. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), a credential grounded in evidence-based approaches to behavior change, well-being, and sustainable performance. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to deepen her ability to support the growing mental health and well-being needs impacting today’s workforce.
Janet is a certified practitioner in Everything DiSC®, Five Behaviors™ of a Cohesive Team, and the Conflict Dynamics Profile, and has extensive experience with 360-degree feedback instruments, strengths-based assessments such as the VIA Survey, and wellness-based tools that make visible the connection between well-being, behavior, and performance. She uses these tools to increase self-awareness, inform development, and translate insight into meaningful action.
In addition to coaching, consulting, and training/facilitation, Janet designs and leads qualitative efforts, including focus groups and interviews, to surface themes that help leaders better understand employee experience, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. She helps organizations translate these insights into clear, actionable priorities.
Janet has worked with clients across corporate, nonprofit, and public sector environments, including Fortune 500 organizations and mission-driven institutions. She is a founding member of the Maryland chapter of the International Coaching Federation, where she has served as Chair of both the Education and Community Outreach Committees. She currently serves on the board of Target Community & Educational Services and is also a member of the Institute of Coaching, a Harvard Medical School–affiliated organization focused on advancing coaching science and evidence-based practice.
