Dedrick is a Customer Experience Program Analyst with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veteran Experience Office. He supports innovations while coaching and mentoring both new and seasoned customer experience (CX) professionals within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) community.

Dedrick began his career in public service as an Accounting Specialist in the U.S. Army. He retired after 21 years of honorable service as a Senior Imagery Intelligence Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps. After retirement, he worked as a consultant at Booz Allen, supporting the Intelligence Community, before discovering his passion for serving veterans while volunteering in radiology at the VA Northern California Health Care System. Dedrick’s career at the VA includes roles as a Veterans Benefits Administration Change Management Analyst, Public Affairs Officer, Congressional Liaison, Minority Veteran Program Coordinator, Patient Advocate Supervisor, Master Classroom Facilitator, and Veteran Experience Coordinator.

He holds a master’s degree in Change Management and Organizational Design from Drexel University and is a certified VHA Change Management practitioner. Dedrick is also a graduate of the 2024 Veterans Health Administration Associate Coach Development Program, with over 100 hours of professional coaching experience in both paid and pro bono contexts.

Additionally, Dedrick is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the ICF DC Metro Charter Chapter. He is part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VHA National Center for Organization Development’s Executive Coaching Center cohort and serves as an internal coaching practitioner.

With over 30 years of leadership and professional experience in both the public and private sectors, he specializes in coaching professionals undergoing career transitions, as well as staff members leading others to achieve better outcomes. His work extends to medical professionals involved in therapy, patient advocacy, and customer experience specialists. Dedrick assists individuals looking to improve employee engagement and experiential outcomes in their workplaces.

As a graduate of an ICF Level 1 Accredited Education Program, Dedrick has completed over 100 hours of paid and pro bono coaching. His coaching approach includes somatic coaching and sense of purpose coaching. Dedrick is certified in Prosci Change Management and Lean Six Sigma and has taken numerous courses in facilitation and leadership.
He continues his service to veterans as a volunteer at the Sacramento Veteran Medical Center. He also had the opportunity to coach and mentor underprivileged children and families in the Bay Area through the Oakland Lacrosse Club. Dedrick is a veteran, a father, and an avid outdoorsman thoroughly enjoying camping, hiking, kayaking and walks in the afternoon with his good boy Bruno.
