Tony has been supporting SCP as a human capital subject matter expert, coach, and trainer for over six years. Prior to becoming a consultant, he commanded Army units and led strategic-level staff agencies in the military and across the federal government, culminating his service as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army. He developed award-winning leader development programs for military units and the 250,000-person Army Civilian Workforce; he facilitated, developed, and implemented strategic plans and processes for independent agencies, nonprofits, and the Army Marketing and Advertising effort valued at $300M. He also served as the CHCO for FEMA and the DC Capitol Police. Since his retirement, Tony has actively worked with SCP on numerous projects and specializes in coaching executives and aspiring leaders and has been supporting leaders in transition. His program management efforts across a variety of subject areas, including performance management, transition services, and workforce transformation, have been recognized by the Secretaries of the U.S. Army and Department of Defense.
Tony is a 2016 Presidential Rank Award Recipient. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Military Academy, and a Master of Business Administration, specializing in Organizational Development and Leadership, from the University of New Hampshire. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at the Army Management Staff College and the Air Force Staff College. Tony is certified through the International Coaching Federation and received his training through the George Mason University Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance certificate program.
