Strategic Consulting Partners Consultant Lorraine Barclay Nordlinger is a D.C. Power Player

Those of us at SCP who have worked with Lorraine Barclay Nordlinger have known for a long time that she is a shining star – and the many SCP clients that she has advised, coached and trained know it, too. Now it’s official: thousands of other people also know how very special she is because Modern Luxury magazine named her as a Power Player in the Washington, D.C. area.

Lorraine specializes in moving individuals and organizations to a better place. Sometimes she does that figuratively in the organizational development and human performance improvement training delivered for Strategic Consulting Partners clients, and sometimes she does that literally in her work as a Realtor® with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, helping buyers find new homes and ensuring sellers receive top dollar for their properties. Whether it’s in real estate or in organizational development and leadership coaching, what she delivers to clients the same: amazing attention to detail and steady guidance on the way to achieving her clients’ goals.

Being named a D.C. Power Player by Modern Luxury magazine is like icing on the cake, according to Lorraine. “I’ve always been proud of my accomplishments, but to be recognized like this is particularly gratifying. The best part of what I do for organizations and individuals is that I truly love it. Every real estate client and every organization I work has unique needs. It’s so interesting to learn what people need, and coming up with solutions to help them achieve their goals is so rewarding,” she added.

Since 1986, Lorraine has helped organizations bring out the best in their staff and guided leaders to implement the changes that are necessary to improve performance, increase productivity, and boost employee satisfaction. She is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and holds certifications from many industry-leading associations, including the Association for Talent Development (formerly American Society for Training and Development) and Total Quality Institute. Lorraine earned an M.B.A. in management from Meredith College and a B.A. in communications from North Carolina State University.

Lorraine was inspired to become a Realtor® because of her love and appreciation for beautiful buildings and her experiences managing the Nordlinger family’s commercial and residential holdings. She soon discovered that the people skills she learned while coaching organizations came in handy when coaching and guiding real estate clients to achieve their financial goals through buying or selling their homes.

In addition to her Power Player status and her dedication to the SCP team, Lorraine is an Adjunct Facilitator for the National Institutes of Health Training Center, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and involved in advancing leaders in science and technology through the ARCS® (Achievement Rewards for College Students) Foundation. Lorraine is also a member of multiple genealogy organizations and a volunteer for numerous organizations related to her two teenage children’s many activities and interests, including Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Synchronized swimming and other sports, and leadership and civic development events.

“I have a lot going on, but effectively managing my time so that I can be present and contribute to others is akin to helping SCP clients on their path to organizational excellence and helping people achieve their financial goals through buying or selling their homes,” she said.

We are proud to claim her as one of our visionary and dedicated consultants and congratulate her on the inspiring work she does for clients in both of her busy worlds.
